Removing an Existing Blog Post
From the 'Edit Post' screen, scroll to the bottom, and click the "Delete Post" button.
Drafts vs Publishing
Save your post as a draft if you're not ready to publish it yet. Drafts are visible in your back office but won't appear on your website's blog. When you're ready, publish the post to display it on your website.
Blog Post Content
Writing a Blog Post
Start by choosing a relevant topic that resonates with your target audience, such as sharing your personal experiences with essential oils, discussing their benefits, or providing tips for incorporating them into daily life. Craft a compelling title that grabs readers' attention and accurately represents your post's content.
To save time, leverage the "Saved Replies" feature for pre-written responses or content snippets, such as answers to frequently asked questions about Young Living products or your personal brand story. End your post with a call-to-action encouraging readers to explore Young Living products, leave a comment, or share the post with others.

Featured Image
A featured image serves multiple important purposes for your blog post. Not only does it enhance the visual appeal and attract readers' attention, but it also plays a key role in engagement and shareability across social media platforms.
Featured Image (Optional):
- Size Matters: When choosing a featured image, consider the platform on which your post will be shared. For Facebook, an ideal image size is 1200x630 pixels to ensure it's displayed properly in the sharing preview. Alternatively, if you prefer a smaller image to appear within your post, opt for a size of 600x300 pixels.
- Display Options: You can manage how the featured image appears with the blog post by ticking the 'Show the featured image on this post' option. This will embed the image at the top of your post. If you leave the box unchecked, the featured image will not be displayed within the body of your post.
- Visibility Across Platforms: Regardless of your choice to show it within the blog post, the featured image will always be displayed in the list of posts on your site. It will also be included in the previews when shared on certain social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, enhancing the visibility and click-through rate of your shared content.
Remember, even if the featured image is not displayed within the post, it still serves as a visual representation of your content on social networks and in post lists, which can significantly impact user engagement. If the sharing preview on Facebook does not reflect the latest image, follow these instructions to refresh the content.
Blog Categories
Using blog categories is essential for organizing your content and improving user experience. By assigning one or more categories to your blog posts, you help readers easily navigate your website, allowing them to find related content based on their interests. This not only enhances the overall readability of your blog but also increases engagement, as readers are more likely to explore additional posts within the same category. Furthermore, well-structured categories can boost your blog's SEO, making it easier for search engines to index your content and improving your visibility to potential readers.
Automatically Write Excerpt
The Automatically Write Excerpt feature, powered by AI-generated content, efficiently condenses the main points of your entire blog post into a few short paragraphs, providing a concise overview of your content.
By automatically summarizing your blog, this innovative tool saves time and effort while ensuring that your message is effectively communicated. You can easily copy the generated summary to your clipboard for use in social media posts, email newsletters, or as an introduction to your content. Additionally, adding the auto-summary to your blog's excerpt offers readers a quick glimpse of your post, sparking their interest and encouraging further reading. This increases engagement and improves the user experience, as readers can quickly determine the relevance of your content before delving into the full article. Overall, the auto-summary feature is valuable for streamlining content creation and enhancing your blog's appeal.
When this post is published, send it to contacts by: (optional)
Notify your contacts about new blog posts via email, text, and app notifications, ensuring your content reaches them through their preferred channel. Customize your outreach with tags for targeted precision, and choose to provide full articles or summaries to accommodate different reading preferences.
⚠️ ImportantThese notification options are only available when transitioning your blog from draft to published status. Once the blog is published, these settings are not accessible. Should you wish to inform your contacts about the blog post after it has been published, you will need to do so manually through your contact manager. Alternatively, you can temporarily unpublish the post, set your desired notification options, and then republish it.
- Email: Send the entire blog post or just an excerpt to your contacts. Use tags (discussed bellow) to target specific groups.
- Text Message: Share a link to your blog post via text to contacts who opt-in for texts. Tags help refine the recipient list, making your message more relevant.
- App Notifications: Notify app users with a link to the new post, ensuring those with the AttractWell app installed stay informed. Users with the app will receive notifications directly on their phone, keeping them engaged with your latest content. Learn more about the AttractWell app HERE.
- Using Tags: Utilize tags to target a specific group of contacts rather than sending to everyone in your contact manager.
Comments, Excerpt & Search Engine Options
Enhance the reader's experience and maximize your blog's reach with these customizable settings designed for engagement and SEO optimization.
- Allow Comments: Create a vibrant hub of interaction on your blog by allowing readers to leave comments. This feature not only enables direct engagement with your audience but also adds valuable user-generated content that can increase the visibility of your posts.
Note - you will manage all comments by navigating to Blog Posts > Manage Comments. Or you can visit this URL - https://attractwell.com/app/posts/comments/manage.
- Show Excerpt: Instead of displaying the full post on your blog's archive page (yourdomain.com/blog), the system can show a succinct summary. When you opt for an excerpt, you control the narrative that invites readers in, and the system conveniently adds a 'Read More' button, directing them to the full article.
- Search Engine Meta Description: The meta description is a brief but powerful summary of your blog post that appears in search engine results. An effective meta description should be intriguing enough to compel potential readers to click through while including targeted keywords to ensure your post ranks well for relevant searches.
Advanced Options
The 'Advanced Options' section provides you with additional settings to fine-tune the visibility and presentation of your blog posts. Here, you can control how your post is accessed, displayed, and further customize its web presence.
- Post is Shown: Choose where your blog post appears. Selecting Everywhere means your post will be visible on your website, in the blog archives, and to search engines. Opting for By link only restricts the post's visibility such that it can only be accessed through a direct link; it will not appear in your blog archives or be indexed by search engines.
- Password (optional): If you want to limit access to a post, you can set a password. Only visitors who have this password will be able to view the post.
- Created Date (Central Time): Adjust this setting if you want the post to appear with a different publication date and time in your blog archive, which can be handy for backdating posts or scheduling them for future release.
- Blog Post Author: Attribute the post to the correct author. This name will be displayed on the blog as the individual who penned the article.
- Custom HTML Tags: Insert any custom HTML tags that you'd like to add to the <HEAD> tag of the individual blog post's page. This is especially useful for integrating third-party features like Facebook sharing tags or Pinterest rich pins for enhanced content sharing and visibility.
Remember to save your changes to ensure that all advanced settings are applied to your blog post.
